Berdan Civata: We Achieved Strategic Advantage

One of the oldest and most experienced bolt manufacturers in Turkey with their over half a century experience both nationally and globally, Berdan Cıvata gained advantage in many regards by choosing Tezmaksan in their first robotic investment. Berdan Cıvata who has a Research-Development Center since 2017 is the first bolt factory to hold the title of having the first CE document in Turkey, TUSCA MARK AD 2000 W, ISO EN 14399, ISO EN 17025, ISO EN 14399 – 10 HRC documents in the sector. We came together with Berdan Cıvata’s R&D Technology Development Manager Dergah Uysal and talked about their investments in machine and robot in Tezmaksan. Here are the details of our interview: In 2015 our collaboration started with an Everising brand 70B model circular saw machine. It is our cutting process machine in field ever since. We have encountered some defects during our machine’s 7 years of service. However Tezmaksan has always been on their customer’s side and tried to produce fast and effective solutions. It is also true that they are satisfactory enough on regards to customer service.

Tezmaksan company has become a strong and reliable robot company who services in a short time with their robot investments especially to the industrial sector. We think that the confidence they ensured to the sector nationally might have a great impact on this. Additionally in their robot investments they worked with powerful companies whose quality is known as well their other products. Consequently it seems that they will continue to be very successful in robot investment projects not only with their machine service experince but also with their brand recognition emphasizing that technology is constantly on their agenda. For Berdan Cıvata to choose Tezmaksan for their first robot investments provided advantages in many ways. Especially the education Tezmaksan provided in robotic coding and setting got three of our staff to successfully control the robot. We also find Tezmaksan’s education strategies successful

The production with one robot integration between two CNC lathe has been dehumanized in our CNC machining center which is a bottleneck point in critical joint pieces’ production. 15-20 percent decrease has been provided in the production cycle time for a single product. With smart palette automation system(Cubebox), the automation process of feeding and unloading the industrial robot system has been provided. By this means industrial robot system setting times has been decreased by 80 percent rate and constant production opportunity has been sustained. With the Automatic Control Measurement Systems, the production quality of the system has been guaranteed by performing fully automatic measurement checks of 100 percent of the parts whose processing was completed on the CNC. We have both increased our productivity and guaranteed the continuity of our quality with robotic automation entegrated to our line. We will extend these works in our lines from now on.
