The opening ceremnoy was held with participation of Governor of Sivas Salih Ayhan, Deputy Mayor of Turan Topgül, Chamber of Industry and Commerce President of Sivas Mustafa Eken and the many other guests. Mustafa Aydoğdu, as the Chairman of the Board of Tezmaksan made the opening speech and said, “I am very proud of that Tezmaksan, which we founded 40 years ago, becomes the first biggest company in Turkey and the second in Europe. We have started the journey from Sivas, and came back to Sivas to make an investment 40 years later. Our dreams come true by adding the energy and strength of young generations to the resilience and stubbornness of the veterans like me.
After the Aydoğdu’s speech, Governor of Sivas Salih Ayhan, stated at his speech that Nuri Demirağ Organized Industrial Zone is an investment and production base that determines the future of Sivas, and high demands of investors and the new factory foundations are the most obvious indicators of this. He also mentioned: “Tezmaksan, making the basic machinery of production, especially with robotic technology, will be a factory that establishes a factory. As the expectation of the sector and requirement of the age, I believe we will go even higher in the European league with this factory with extensively used robotic technologies. We also congratulate our business people who put their hand under the responsibility with the goal of a country that grows as it produces and whose level of welfare increases as it grows. With our motto ‘Strong Sivas, Strong Turkey’, we will continue to be a city that creates value in the field of industry as well as the other sectors.
Sharing details about the factory investment at the ceremony, General Manager of Tezmaksan, Hakan Aydoğdu made these statements:“As an institution serving the machining industry for over 40 years, we have a debt to our hometown Sivas. We had to be an example to everyone. As the industry has just stuck in Marmara reigon, we just asked the question, ‘Why will our new factory not be in Sivas?’. As we started to speak this four years ago, we make a very important step for our factory today. In the short term, we are planning to expand our export potential and to create new markets, in addition to increase the CNC Machine production capacity 10 times with robotic automation systems. We founded our factory on 53 acres of land in Nuri Demirağ Organized Industrial Zone with 15 million euros of investment and 30 millon TL of construction cost. As we carried some parts of Tezmaksan Production Facility in İstanbul, we also have a plan of production of new CNC models that are never made before in Turkey, new R&D studies and other processes in our factory in Sivas. Moreover, the production process will be implemented with zero human intervention with its dark factory feature. As we currently employ 70 people in our factory, we have a goal of increasing this number to 150 in the long term. Firstly, we are aiming to make extra 10 million euros export revenue to Sivas.
As Aydoğdu stated that Tezmaksan acts with an understanding that protects ecological balance in all business processes, he mentioned that, “We are living in a world that resources are limited and the population is growing day by day. Therefore, we sholud realise the production and the consumption according to this. With Tezmaksan’s awareness and commitment to biodiversity, we built a completely nature-friendly factory. Industrial production facilities have a great impact on sustainability and biodiversity of the world. As we also want to minimize this effect on the ecosystem, we have taken steps to reduce environmental risks for the protection of species and designed the use of renewable energy sources to be at the highest level. Within the framework of the global sustainability roadmap in line with the carbon emission targets, we have built our factory with solar panels and a sustainable architecture.”
